Hakuoki In the West and Why we need Sweet School Life.

I was browsing Amazon yesterday and found this beauty. Out in the UK on May 7th it's just £37 and only available as a special edition. It'll probably be cheaper as a download only on PSN but while the box is available...why not?
Stories of the Shinsengumi is the translation of Hakuouki Junsouroku  for PS3 and includes the fan disk extras of Zuisouroku. One of which leads into a game that we REALLY REALLY REALLY want.

If you're intending to get Stories of Shinsengumi and want to enjoy the extra for sweet school life then please skip the video and read on below. For everyone else, someone subbed the vids.

Remember part 2 is on the right hand side if you follow it through to youtube.

On March 27th a game slipped out onto the PSvita called Hakuouki Sweet School Life.
Like the short above they took a fan project and ran with it turning it into a fully fledged vita game.

The shinsengumi are now in modern day Japan and the protagonist is thrown into the midst of an all boys school. I found a wordpress  that has images from the game and her own opinions prior to release.
Also you can visit the main site for some lovely wallpapers and if you visit the gallery there are some fantastic CG's. Finally you can date the red haired guy...must replay...YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

Let us hope that the release of Stories of the Shinsengumi is a sign we will get this afterwards because I have a vita on a Japanese account and I'm 5 minutes away from giving in and buying it for the hell of it off psn or if you prefer a hard copy you can get them from Nippon-yasan.
They aren't a large company so they are slow getting your item into the post but they are the most reliable company I have ever shopped with. If you pay for a registered airmail it often comes by EMS.
Remember Vita's are region free and they are getting better, especially for these kinds of niche games.

Go give Aksys your love if you want it too as they are responsible for the rest of the releases and are rolling around in Hakuoki money.

Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi does an Atelier Totori on PSN!

I think Askys must be having an off day. They released Hakuoki (sequel thing) for PSP/PSVITA in the UK or I'm guessing- Europe.
Not so long ago they released this game on psp in america but people were complaining that they could not get it onto their Vita's.
Now, facing no applause or announcement, what-so-ever, they release the worst of the 2 hakuoki psp games onto the european systems without letting anybody know about it until they scour the new PSN updates. Apparently us in europe don't like reading- pft...
This may have worked out well for Atelier Totori which is part of a series and many of us were willing to shell out £35 for it (insane considering I already own it on ps3) and here they put out a title that has had no release of Demon of the fleeting blossom, which most of us know to be a VN most of us imported, meaning most other gamers will have no clue what it is.
The game play is like Dynasty warriors but, for the love of god, do not set it on easy, enemies just stand still and take it. It has anime cutscenes, it has the original Hakuoki story without all the reading as well as an additional story to entice people to buy it.
The game is just shy of £20. Go watch some videos for it and make your own assumptions before you buy it but if you've been waiting for it? It's here, and they told no one.

p.s I'll probably buy it after payday so I can look at hijikata in hd.
